Be the brand AI adds to the cart.
Shoppers ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity what to buy and where. We make your products the ones they recommend, with the structured data and proof AI reads.
The problem
Shoppers ask AI what to buy.
Product discovery is moving into the assistant. When someone asks for the best product in your category, a few brands get named. Most do not.
A shopper no longer opens ten tabs to compare. They ask an assistant for the best option in a category, or how two products stack up, and buy from the shortlist it gives back.
To build that shortlist, AI reads product pages, independent reviews, comparison and best-of content, marketplace listings and retailer stockists. Brands whose product data is not structured, who have no comparison content, and whose reviews are scattered give the model very little to go on. So when a category question comes up, it recommends the brand whose data was clean and whose reputation was corroborated across the web. You lose the sale before your product page is ever opened.
The mechanics of getting cited are covered in our guide on getting recommended by ChatGPT.
AI recommends products, not links
When someone asks what to buy, the assistant names a few brands. You want to be one.
Your product data is unreadable
Without structured data, machines cannot reliably read your prices, variants or ratings.
No one corroborates your brand
Scattered reviews and thin mentions give AI no reason to trust your product over a rival.
Our 2026 study
What our 2026 study found for e-commerce
We tested 50 Australian online retailers against ChatGPT and Gemini for the State of AI Visibility Australia 2026 report. Retail set the pace, which raises the bar.
The average store scored 55 out of 100, the highest of the six industries we studied, and of the 22 stores with complete results from both engines, only 9% were never named by either engine.
The basics still slip: across all 50 store sites we checked, 28% had no structured data and 44% had no llms.txt file. At the top, Bondi Sands led the niche at 89 with MECCA close behind on 87. Dig into the full e-commerce data or read the complete State of AI Visibility Australia 2026 report.
