What our 2026 study found for tradies

We tested 50 Australian trade businesses against ChatGPT and Gemini for the State of AI Visibility Australia 2026 report. Tradies came out worst.

The average trade business scored 29.8 out of 100, the lowest of the six industries we studied, and of the 21 businesses with complete results from both engines, 76% were never named by either engine in any answer we collected.

Across all 50 trade sites we checked, 12% blocked AI crawlers and 82% had no llms.txt file. The upside is real: Fallon Solutions in Brisbane topped the niche at 71 while most competitors stayed invisible.
